Willow Tree is an intimate series of figurative sculptures that represent feelings such as love, closenment, healing, courage, hope ... all the emotions that we encounter in life. " I wanted to make this figure very human, not as an angel. It is not about the heavenly peace, but about the peace on earth among us-what we need to think about now. I wanted her feet to stand on the floor and not float in the clouds. I gave her dress a very earthy color to 'erden' it. The lamb has always been a symbol of peace, the woman a peacekeeper. Peace-here on earth-is what I have tried to depict in colour, symbol and appearance. -Susan Lordi. The article is made of cast stone and hand-painted with lead-free paint.
