The Italian artist Mauro Bergonzoli (born 24.12.1965 in Milan) is best known for his genre-spanning neo-pop style and his modern interpretations of classical drawing. References to the lush culture of the Baroque and Rococo periods characterize his work. The powerful colorfulness of his pictorial worlds ties in with the visual language of advertising scenes as well as with the art of comic artists.
