Individually Handcrafted
When DCUK discovered the Indian Runner Duck, they encountered a culture rich in stories and craftsmanship. The tradition of puppet-making is deeply rooted in Indonesia, where generations of sculptors and artists have carved expressive figures from humble bamboo roots. DCUK collaborates with artisans in Indonesia, providing families and communities with stability and confidence. A partnership that ensures indigenous creative skills continue to be valued and appreciated.
Environmentally Conscious
Each DCUK piece is hand-carved using locally harvested bamboo sections that would otherwise be wasted. Bamboo root is not only an environmentally friendly material, but its distinctive grain gives the ducks a beautiful texture.
