" When I carved this figure, I was influenced by the attitudes of the classical sculptures, in which the line of shoulders in opposition to the hips, or contrapposto. I wanted the gesture to involve the whole body-360 degrees. No matter how the viewer turns the figure, movement and life are expressed. " -Susan Lordi.
