An impressive palm, two of 25cm, completed the crib scene this year, which Grete Wendt designed as early as 1910/11 on behalf of the German workshops Hellerau.

Two imposing palm trees complete the crib scene this year, which Grete Wendt designed in 1910/11 on behalf of the German workshops Hellerau. The production of the foliage, which she performed so artfully during her practical semester, presented us with some riddles, since it was time to "grow" the palms of their strikingly arched leaves. Pulled out of fine span, the leaves of different sizes are first stained and dried before the 30 palm frames are inaugurated in the trunk. The lush tree crown forms leaf for sheet until the last one finally the right place sits.
