Wendt & Kühn 'Angel with Yellow Easter Egg, Standing, with Floral Painting - 6cm' 2025

Diversity in the sample treasure. A look at the large sample archive of Wendt & Kühn shows an impressive variety of adorable Easter figures – even angels with Easter eggs are among them. They were designed by Grete Wendt around 1924 and were manufactured until the mid-1930s. The blue-grey background of this Easter egg is adorned with fine lines, applied with a steady hand. A special highlight: The wings of the angel are painted in a soft old pink and decorated with eleven golden dots, true to the historical pattern. This special feature, coupled with the delicate painting of the Easter egg, gives the angel a childlike lightness that delights far beyond Easter.
