The wooden ball and the robust blades of the agitator make every food puree the finest and use it sparingly down to the last bit. To clean the device, the agitator can be easily removed. You can also peel off the wooden ball and the rest can then be put in the dishwasher. Without an agitator, you have a sieve for many other applications.
