The starling is a small bird that nevertheless offers one of the most beautiful sights in nature when it flies together in flocks, which is called murmuration. When these little birds fly in flocks, they synchronize their movements, forming amazing patterns that cover the sky like dancing clouds. The artists of Lladró have focused on the unique iridescent black feathers with green and purple shimmers captured in these starlings in the tiny ornamentation. In the black and purple versions, the monochrome tone highlights each individual plumage of the little birds.
