This cake immediately brings back childhood memories! Memories of birthdays, picnics and cozy Sundays with the family. And what should not be missing? The Gugelhupf! This classic has a long tradition. What many people don't know, however, is that in the original it was not made from sponge at all, but from yeast dough, nuts and raisins. In some areas of Germany, the Gugelhupf is also called Napfkuchen or Bundkuchen, but one thing is always the same and that is its characteristic appearance. This consists of a ring-shaped curved exterior and a chimney in the middle. Thanks to the non-stick coating of our bakeproof platinum silicone bakeware, the bundt cake can be easily removed from the pan without prior greasing. Simply let it cool briefly after baking and then turn it out onto a plate. Then decorate with powdered sugar, couverture or glaze as desired. Like all Lurch Silicone molds, this is of course dishwasher safe and therefore ready for use again in no time.
Whether as a lemon, marble or chocolate bundt cake, this cake always succeeds and tastes good to everyone. If you like, you can also experiment a bit. How about a Danube Wave or Baileys Gugelhupf or maybe a Frankfurt wreath?
