Wendt & Kühn 'Heinzelmännchen mit Sack - 6.5cm' 2024

With a bobble hat. With heavy sack, stick and buoyant step, a new Heinzelmännchen will be added to the range from May 2024. It was designed by Grete Wendt in 1926 and probably produced until 1966. After almost 60 years in the sample cabinet, they are now all the more pleased to support their Heinzel friends in their tasks in the house and garden. What it carries in its heavy sack is left to the imagination of the viewer. In the circle of the Heinzel family, a small but subtle difference is striking: this Heinzel is the only one to whom Grete Wendt put a pompom on his red pointed hat. In the re-edition of this historical figure, this special detail was retained true to the pattern - and so the craftswomen glue a tiny ball to the cap with a steady hand.
